By the way, RSNA is still using RFID tags, as described in a previous blog entry ... I checked my badge that arrived in the mail recently and indeed it contains such a tag.
Since last year I microwaved it for too long and it caught fire, and I wandered around the whole week with a black hole on my chest, this year I will use the knife or the chisel.
Just to confirm that indeed the vendors do have access to the tracking information, here is the link to the RFID Exhibitor Package Order Form, a press release from the provider, and the usual spiel in the RSNA materials about what the RFID tag will be used for and how to opt out.
